South Side Dub at Pirates Well on Saturday

South Side Dub, a band consisting of energetic and experienced instrumentalists came together nine years ago to form a group that has united reggae music lovers all over Palm Beach County. Brian Bianco, lead singer explains, "We are three dudes playing a type of music we love with great passion. We call is "Sublime-ish". We are just trying to make good songs based on a reggae style of music that has been emulated by millions for decades" (South Side Dub).

The band has toured all over Palm Beach County and already has a large and growing fan-base. Their music can be compared to that of Sublime, or maybe even The Dirty Heads. If you ask me, Bianco sounds very similar to Rome, the new lead singer for Sublime.

South Side Dub writes and produces originals, as well as plays covers of a lot of Sublime and Bob Marley music.

Check them out this Saturday for a free show at Pirates Well located at 9477 Hwy Alternate A1A Lake Park, FLA 33403. The show starts at 10:00 p.m. This small local band is on their way to big time achievement. This is one show you don't want to miss!

Rascal Flatts at Cruzan Amphitheatre

Everyone's favorite country rock band Rascal Flatts are finishing up their North American tour here in Florida before ending it with a bang in California. Formed in Columbus, Ohio, this multi-platinum band made up of three members has rocked their way around the world and back again, sharing their music with fans of all backgrounds. Rascal Flatts unlike most bands, especially country rock bands, have a large fan base made up of people from all place and ages. "What Hurts The Most, topped both the country and Adult Contemporary charts in 2006, and it was a Top Ten pop hit" (Wikipedia). In 2006, Rascal Flatts was the biggest selling artist as reported by Nielsen Soundscan. They sold nearly five million physical albums and four million digital tracks. In our economy today, not o mention the growth of technology, it is very hard for a recording artist to make it in the industry In only 11 short years, the three men of Rascal Flatts, Gary Levox, Jay DeMarcus, and JoeDon Rooney were a large success.

On Sept. 24, 2010, Rascal Flatts will be at Cruzan Amphitheatre. Unfortunately due to their popularity tickets on the venue website and ticketmaster are currently sold-out. Lawn seats however are still available and can be purchased here!!! The show starts at 7:00 p.m.

Rascal Flatts also just came back from Las Vegas where they shot their new music video Why Wait, click here to see it!
